1 lb. ground beef 1 med. onion 2 cloves garlic, optional 1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes 1 can tomato sauce 2 c. water Pinch of red pepper flakes 3 tbsp. parsley flakes 1/2 tsp. oregano 2 tbsp. Parmesan cheese Salt to taste 1 c. uncooked macaroni 1 1/2 c. grated med. sharp cheese Brown ground beef, onion and garlic. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, water, red pepper, oregano, cheese and salt. Cover and cook 10 minutes. Add uncooked macaroni and cook, covered, for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Put in 13 x 9 inch baking dish. Sprinkle with 1 1/2 cups grated medium sharp cheese. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Cook until light brown and bubbly at 350 degrees approximately 45 minutes. |
