CHICKEN MAXINE 
1 (3 to 4 lb.) chicken
1 can mushroom soup
1 (16 oz.) sour cream
1 sm. jar mushrooms
1 sm. pkg. Pepperidge Farm stuffing mix

Cook chicken covered with water with the following until done (approximately 1 1/2 hours) :

1 stalk celery
1 slice green pepper
1 slice onion
Salt & pepper

Debone and cut up chicken. Mix 1 can mushroom soup, 1 (16 ounce) jar sour cream, and 1 small jar mushrooms. Add chicken. Melt 1 stick butter. Add Pepperidge Farm stuffing mix. Line bottom of 13 x 9 inch dish with 1/2 stuffing mix. Put all chicken mixture on top. Sprinkle remaining stuffing mixture on top of chicken. Bake in 350 degree oven for approximately 45 minutes or until center is hot.
