BLACK BOTTOM CUPCAKES 
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1 unbeaten egg
1/3 c. sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips

DARK BATTER:

1 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 c. oil
1 c. water
1/4 c. cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tbsp. vinegar
1 tsp. vanilla

Beat all ingredients for the cream cheese mix together. Then stir in 6 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips. In another bowl mix together all ingredients for dark batter.

Fill cupcake papers with 2 tablespoons dark batter and 2 tablespoons cream cheese mix. Bake 15 to 20 minutes at 350 degrees. Makes about 1 1/2 dozen.
