SPAETZLE DUMPLINGS | |
3 1/2 c. flour 3 eggs 1 c. water 1 tsp. salt In a medium bowl mix all ingredients together. Prepare a firm dough. Beat until it comes easily away from the sides of the bowl. With a spoon press the dough through a dumpling sifter into salted boiling water. Cook 10 to 15 minutes. Skim them out and dip in cold water. Spaetzle dumplings can be also browned lightly in butter before serving and they are my favorite accompaniment to meat with sauce. |
