SOUR CREAM COFFEE CAKE 
1/2 c. butter (1 stick)
1 c. granulated sugar
2 eggs
2 c. sifted all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. dairy sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla
1/3 c. light brown sugar
1/3 c. granulated sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. chopped nuts

Cream butter; add 1 cup sugar and continue creaming until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, and beat well. Add flour, baking powder, soda, sour cream, and vanilla and beat until blended. Spread half of batter into a greased 9 x 9 inch pan. Combine remaining ingredients and sprinkle half over batter. Spread remaining batter over nut mixture. Top with rest of nut mixture. Bake in a moderate (350) oven about 40 minutes, or until done. Yields 1 coffee cake.
