HOMEMADE ROLLS
2 pkgs. yeast
1 c. scalded milk
1/2 c. lukewarm water
2 eggs, well beaten
1/3 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
2/3 c. shortening
6-8 c. plain flour

Combine shortening, sugar, salt and eggs. Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water and add to scalded milk. Combine yeast mixture with shortening mixture and blend well. Gradually add enough flour to form a soft dough. Put dough into a large mixing bowl and let rise in warm place until dough doubles in size.

Pour dough out onto floured surface and knead slightly. Roll out and cut with biscuit cutter. Dip rolls in melted butter and fold. Put into baking pan and let rise for 30 minutes. Bake rolls in a 350 degree oven for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
