DELICIOUS BUTTER CUT-OUTS 
1 c. butter
1 egg
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. sugar
2 1/2 c. flour

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg and beat well. Add sifted dry ingredients a little at a time. Add vanilla and mix well. Chill for several hours.

Roll about 1/8 inch thick on floured board. Cut into desired shapes with small cookie cutters. Decorate with sprinkles (or decorate after removing from oven). Bake on ungreased cookie sheets at 400 degrees about 8 or 9 minutes, just until edges start to brown.
