BUTTER PECAN BARS | |
2 eggs 1 c. brown sugar (packed firmly) 1 c. white sugar 3/4 c. melted butter (1 1/2 sticks) 1 1/4 c. sifted flour 1 c. chopped pecans 1 tsp. vanilla Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease 13 inch pan, or 2 square pans. Put eggs in medium bowl and beat with rotary or electric mixer for 1 minute. Add brown sugar to eggs and beat well. Add white sugar and mix well. Melt butter and pour over sugar-egg mixture, blend. Sift flour, and add flour, chopped nuts and vanilla. Mix well with all ingredients. Pour into greased pan and bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. When done the inside will still be moist. Cut into squares or bars while slightly warm. When cool place in container with tight lid. |
