CHEDDAR CHEESE COOKIES 
1 3/4 sticks butter, softened
1/2 lb. sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. paprika
1/4 tsp. dry mustard
1/4 tsp. red pepper
1 or 2 tbsp. warm water to make dough stick together (if necessary)

Cream butter and add other ingredients. Roll out to 1/2 inch thickness on waxed paper or lightly floured board. Cut with center of doughnut cutter or in square or diamond shapes, about 1 inch in size. Bake at 325 degrees for 20 minutes until golden, not brown.
