GRANDMA KEY'S INSTANT YEAST
ROLLS
 
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. buttermilk
1/4 c. cooking oil
1 pkg. dry yeast, dissolved in 1/4 c. water (warm)
2 c. self-rising flour

Mix all ingredients as you would for biscuits. Roll 1/2 inch thick. Cut with biscuit cutter. Place a pat of butter on each roll and fold. Place on a greased baking sheet. Let stand 1/2 hour before baking at 400 degrees until brown.

Been making them for years... great taste BUT I always have to add more flour in order to roll them out and bring them near to "biscuit" texture. I'd like comments from any other baker who has the same problem.
