EILEEN'S TAFFY APPLE SALAD 
4 c. chopped apples
8 oz. crushed pineapple (juice drained & reserved)
2 c. Spanish salted nuts
8 oz. Cool Whip

SAUCE:

Reserved juice
1/2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. apple cider vinegar
1 tbsp. flour
1 well beaten egg

Blend sauce ingredients. Cook over low heat and allow to cool completely. Fold in Cool Whip. Mix with apples, pineapple and peanuts. Great side dish.
