SWEDISH RYE BREAD 
3 c. milk
1 c. water
1 tbsp. salt
2 tbsp. butter
1 c. brown sugar
2 cakes yeast
Warm water
4 c. rye flour
All-purpose flour
3/4 c. molasses

Heat milk, salt, butter, brown sugar, and molasses. Cool to lukewarm. Put yeast in warm water. Then add to milk mixture. Gradually add 4 cups of rye flour and just enough white flour to knead firm. Raise dough to double its size. Knead and put in 4 loaf pans. Raise to double its size. Bake in 350 degrees for 1 hour. Then rub crust with butter.
