BUTTERSCOTCH PIE FILLING 
2 tbsp. butter
1 3/4 c. milk
2 eggs, separated
4 tbsp. cornstarch
1 c. brown sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
1 baked pie shell

Brown butter; add milk and egg yolks. Combine cornstarch, sugar and salt; add to milk mixture. Cook until thickened; cool slightly; pour into a baked and cooled pie shell.
