CONGO BARS 
Melt:

1 c. butter

Add:

1 box brown sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla

Stir in:

3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt

(If using self-rising flour omit last three ingredients.)

Add:

1 c. chopped nuts
1 sm. pkg. chocolate chips

Press thinly in large pan with sides, well greased. Bake 20-30 minutes at 350. Cool and cut.
