1 c. butter (softened) 1 1/4 c. al-purpose flour 1/3 c. sifted powdered sugar 1/2 c. cornstarch LEMON FROSTING: 1/4 c butter (softened) 1 tbsp. grated lemon rind 1 1/2 c. sifted powdered sugar 2 tbsp. lemon juice Cream butter. Add sugar and beat well. Gradually add flour and cornstarch, beating smoothly. drop mixture by level teaspoonful onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Top does not brown. Handle carefully, very fragile. Lemon Frosting: Cream butter, gradually add powdered sugar, lemon juice and grated rind. Beat until smooth. |
