SPICE COOKIES 
1/2 c. sugar
2/3 c. soft butter
1 c. molasses
1/2 c. water
2 c. whole wheat flour
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. ground cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda

Preheat oven to 375 F. Cream sugar and butter. Beat in molasses and water. Combine flour, spices and baing soda in a separate bowl. Stir into the molasses mixture. Keep stirring until batter is thin and smooth. Drop in 1 tablespoon amounts onto a non stick cookie sheet. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes.

Makes 60 cookies. Per cookie: Calories = 48; total fat + 24%; sat. fat = 0.19 g.; cholesterol = 0; fiber = 2 g.
