WHOLE WHEAT GINGERBREAD MEN | |
1 c. butter 1 c. brown sugar 1 egg 1/3 c. light molasses 1 tbsp. finely shredded orange peel 2 tbsp. orange juice 3 c. flour 2 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 c. whole wheat 1 tsp. ginger 1/2 tsp. cloves Cream butter and brown sugar; add egg and beat until fluffy. Add molasses, orange peel, and juice. Mix well. Stir together flours and spices; add to creamed mixture. Chill. Roll dough on floured surface 1/4 inch thick. Cut with cutter. Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Store in refrigerator. |
