LAUNDRY SOAP | |
6 1/2 c. melted lard 3 c. Borax 1 can lye 2 c. Whisk NOTE: Works great on stains. Cost 4.50 per 5 gallon pail. Put 2 gallons cold soft water in a 5 to 6 gallon plastic pail. Add lye and stir well. Slowly add lard while stirring. Add a little more water. Add Whisk and Borax. Stir well. Fill pail with water. Stir 2 to 3 times a day until set. Use long wooden stick to stir. Be sure to use soft water and plastic pail. Takes a week or so to set. |
