WAFFLE (TURTLE) COOKIES 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. butter
4 eggs
2 tbsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1/2 c. cocoa
Dash salt

Cream the sugar and butter. Add the eggs, 1 at a time, beating well. Add vanilla. Sift the flour, cocoa and salt. Add all together. Brush the hot waffle iron with oil. Repeat whenever the cookies stick. Spoon rounded teaspoons of dough in each section of waffle iron. Bake 1 minute. Remove with a fork. These cookies are very tender. Frost. Can be topped with a pecan or walnut half.

FROSTING:

1 1/3 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1/3 c. milk

Boil 1 minute, I then add 1/2 cup chocolate chips and beat until thick and spread on the cookies.
