FUDGE BROWNIES | |
2 sticks butter or 1 c. buttered flavor Crisco 1/2 c. cocoa 2 c. sugar 4 eggs, slightly beaten 1 1/2 c. self-rising flour 1/2 c. nuts, chopped 1 tsp. vanilla Melt butter or Crisco (in microwave for about 1 minute), just to be softened. Mix flour and cocoa together. Blend sugar and butter together. Add eggs and mix well. Add flour, nuts, and vanilla. Mixing well. Pour into a greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Top with icing for brownies. ICING FOR BROWNIES: 1 1/2 c. sugar 6 tbsp. butter 6 tbsp. cream 1/2 c. chocolate chips Mix sugar, butter, and cream and boil for 1 1/2 minutes. Add 1/2 cup chocolate chips. Remove from stove stirring until all chips have been melted. Put on top of hot brownies, then let cool. |
