10 LAYER CHOCOLATE CAKE 
1 c. shortening (1 part shortening & 1 part butter)
6 eggs
2 c. sugar
1 c. milk
3 c. self-rising flour, sifted
2 tsp. vanilla

FILLING:

2 c. sugar
1 1/2 sticks butter
6 heaping tbsp. cocoa
1 1/2 c. evaporated milk

CAKE: Mix flour and sugar. Add shortening, milk and eggs and mix well. Add vanilla. Spoon 4 tablespoons of batter into pan/skillet and bake at 350 degrees until layers brown around edges.

FILLING: Mix all ingredients. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat and simmer until filling sets when cool.
