CHEESECAKE COOKIES 
Crust:

1/3 c. butter
1/3 c. packed brown sugar
1 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Cream butter with brown sugar, add flour and nuts. Mix to make a crumb mixture. Reserve 1 cup for topping. Press remainder into bottom of 8-inch square pan. Bake at 350°F for 12-15 minutes or until lightly browned.

Filling:

1/2 c. sugar
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 egg
2 tbsp. milk
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Blend sugar with cream cheese until smooth. Add egg, milk, lemon juice and vanilla. Beat well. Spread over baked crust. Sprinkle with reserved crumb mixture. Bake at 350°F for 24 minutes. Cool then cut into squares. Store in refrigerator.
