SAUSAGE - RICE CASSEROLE | |
Sausage, cut into 1 inch pieces 1/2 of a green pepper 1 med. onion 1 can stewed tomatoes 1/4 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. red pepper 1 tbsp. butter 1 1/2 or 2 c. UNCLE BEN'S® rice Cut sausage into 1 inch pieces. Saute 1/2 of green pepper, and 1 medium onion and sausage; amount optional. Add stewed tomatoes, salt, red pepper, and butter. Simmer for 10 minutes. Mix in UNCLE BEN'S® rice; steam, stir occasionally to keep tomatoes from sticking. Sprinkle water on top if water is needed and cover. Rice should be dry and not mushy. |
