PALMIERS WITH HONEY MUSTARD &
HAM
 
1 sheet puff pastry
3 tbsp. honey mustard (mix spicy brown mustard with 1 tbsp. honey)
4 oz. thin sliced ham
1 c. grated Parmesan cheese
1 egg
2 tsp. water

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Spread mustard on puff pastry. Arrange ham evenly over pastry and sprinkle with Parmesan. Lightly press cheese into ham with rolling pin. Starting at long edge, roll pastry jelly roll style only to middle. Roll other side the same. Cut roll into 1/2 inch slices and place on cookie sheet. Mix egg with water and brush tops of each palmier. Bake for 10 minutes. Serve warm or room temperature. Makes about 20.
