BANANA MUFFINS 
1/2 c. butter, softened
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/3 c. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. baking powder
1/2 c. chopped nuts (pecans)
3 over ripe bananas, mashed
2 c. flour

Cream shortening and sugar, add eggs, beat well. Blend milk and bananas. Sift dry ingredients and add to batter and mix well. Stir in pecans and spoon batter into muffin tins. Makes 1 1/2 dozen. Bake 25 minutes at 350 degrees.
