BANANA - NUT BARS 
1 1/2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 med. very ripe banana
1/3 c. milk
1 tsp. lemon juice
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Beat at medium speed 2 minutes. Spread in greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes or until it springs back when touched lightly in center. Cool and frost. Sprinkle with nuts, if desired.

BANANA FROSTING:

Combine: 2 c. powdered sugar 1/4 tsp. salt 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 med. banana

Beat until smooth and creamy. If necessary, thin with a few drops of milk.
