GERMAN CHOCOLATE CHEESE CAKE | |
1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix 2/3 c. shredded coconut 1/3 c. butter, softened 3 eggs 16 oz. softened cream cheese 2 tsp. vanilla 3/4 c. sugar Mix cake mix, coconut, butter and 1 egg. Place in bottom of 9 x 13 pan. Beat cream cheese with 2 eggs, vanilla, and sugar until smooth. Spread over mixture in pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. Remove from oven and spread with frosting. SOUR CREAM FROSTING: 1/4 c. sugar 2 c. sour cream 1/2 bar German sweet chocolate 1 tbsp. vanilla 2 tsp. Amaretto 1 tsp. Amaretto Combine sugar, vanilla, sour cream, and 2 teaspoons Amaretto; stir until sugar is dissolved. Spread on cake. Melt German chocolate with 1 teaspoon Amaretto and a few drops of water to make liquid. Drizzle on top. Keep refrigerated. |
