APPLE UPSIDE DOWN CAKE 
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
2 eggs
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. milk
1 tbsp. butter
4 tart apples
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon

Slice apples thin. Fill pan half full and cover with sugar and cinnamon. Heat milk with butter; when scalding hot, beat in egg mixture. Beat in flour mixture. Pour quickly over fruit mixture and bake quickly. Serve with whipped cream.
