BUTTER PECAN COOKIES 
1 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped pecans

Cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Combine dry ingredients; add to creamed mixture and mix well. Stir in pecans. Drop by teaspoonful onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for about 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Yield: about 4 dozen.
