SHEPHERDS PIE 
2 lbs. stewing beef, cut in cubes
1 onion, cubed
4 or 5 carrots, sliced
4 or 5 potatoes, peeled and cubed
1 sm. pkg. frozen peas
2 tbsp. butter
1 stalk celery, cut in sm. pieces
Any other vegetables you might want to add
Salt and pepper to taste
Biscuits, unbaked

Melt butter in pot. Add meat and stir, browning on all sides. Add salt and pepper and cover with water and cook until meat is tender. NOTE: I use a pressure cooker. Add the vegetables and cook until they are crisp but not wholly done. Pour into a roasting pan and top with the biscuits. Bake at 375 degrees F. until the biscuits are brown on top. Serve.
