DELUXE CHOCOLATE MALLOW BARS | |
3/4 c. butter 1 1/2 c. sugar 3 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 1 1/2 c. flour 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 3 tbsp. cocoa powder 1/2 c. chopped nuts 4 c. miniature marshmallows Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla, beat well. Combine flour, baking powder, salt and cocoa. Add to creamed mixture. Stir in nuts. Spread in greased jelly roll pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-18 minutes. Sprinkle with marshmallows. Return to oven for 2-3 minutes. Using a knife dipped in water, spread evenly over cake. Cool. Use topping below. TOPPING: Combine 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips, 3 tablespoons butter and 1 cup peanut butter. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until melted and well blended. Remove from heat and stir in 2 cups Rice Krispies cereal. Spread over bars. Chill. Cut in squares. |
