COCONUT DOBASH CAKE | |
1 box cake mix (yellow) FILLING: 1 coconut instant pudding mix FROSTING: 3 egg whites 1/3 c. light corn syrup 1/8 tsp. cream of tartar 1/2 c. coconut 3/4 c. sugar Dash of salt Make cake according to instructions on box and let cool. Make pudding mix and refrigerate. Make frosting in top of double boiler; combine egg whites, corn syrup, salt and cream of tartar. Cook over boiling water. Beat with mixer for 4 minutes. Remove from heat and beat 2 more minutes. Split layers in half and fill with pudding, then spread frosting on top and sides. Sprinkle with coconut. Store in refrigerator. |
