ST. BENEDICT'S BANANA BREAD 
1 1/2 c. flour
2/3 tsp. baking soda
2/3 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter
1 1/3 c. sugar
1 1/3 c. mashed bananas
2 eggs
1 tbsp. vanilla
1/2 c. sour milk

Sift together flour, soda and salt. Add butter, sugar, mashed bananas, eggs and vanilla. Add sour milk and if desired, some chopped nuts. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until done. Makes one 2 pound loaf.
