PORK CHOPS WITH APPLES AND SWEET
POTATOES
 
4 chops (about 1 1/4 lbs.)
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. leaf sage, crumbled
1 c. water
5 med. apples, unpeeled
4 med. sweet potatoes, peeled

Brown chops lightly in heavy skillet and remove; add water, sage and salt, stirring until dissolved. Cut apples into eighths and remove core. Slice potatoes 3/4-inch thick.

Arrange potatoes and apples alternately in shallow baking dish on pan which has been lightly greased. Top with chops. Pour contents of skillet over all. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Remove cover and bake 45 minutes longer. Serves 4.
