1 (4 oz.) pkg. butterscotch pudding mix 1 c. sugar 1/2 c. brown sugar, firmly packed 1/2 c. evaporated milk 1 tbsp. butter 1 1/2 c. pecans Combine pudding mix, sugar and milk in a saucepan. Add butter and cook, stirring frequently over low heat until mixture reaches the soft ball stage (234 degrees). Add nut meats and remove from heat. Beat just until mixture begins to thicken. Drop by spoonsful onto waxed paper. (This will remind you of Aunt Bill's Brown Candy). |
