ANGEL BISCUITS 
1 pkg. yeast
5 c. flour
4 tbsp. sugar
2 c. buttermilk
2 tbsp. lukewarm water
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. shortening

Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water. Sift together dry ingredients; cut in shortening. Add yeast and buttermilk to dry mixture. Knead enough to hold mixture together. Roll dough 1/2 or 3/4-inch; cut with biscuit cutter. Butter and fold in half.

Bake at 400°F for 15 to 20 minutes.
