T.'S YEAST BREAD 
6 c. all-purpose flour
1 pkg. dry yeast
6 level tbsp. shortening
14 tsp. sugar
3 tsp. salt (scant)
Use very warm water

In a cup, dissolve yeast and 7 teaspoons sugar in warm water. (Have enough warm water in saucepan to use when kneading bread.) Sift flour, salt and remaining sugar together. Work in shortening; add yeast. Knead very well. Put dough in warm place to rise.
