DATE BALLS 
1/2 c. butter
1/2 lb. dates, cut up
1 beaten egg
1 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. nuts, chopped
2 c. oven-popped rice cereal
Coconut

Mix together butter, sugar, dates, egg, milk, vanilla and salt. Boil for 2 minutes. Cool and add nuts and cereal. Form into balls and roll in coconut.
