STRAWBERRY CREAM PIE 
1 qt. strawberries
1 c. sugar
1 1/3 c. water
3 tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 pt. heavy cream
1 tsp. vanilla
1 baked 9" pie shell

Wash and hull strawberries. Simmer 1 cup strawberries, 1 cup sugar and 1 cup water for 15 minutes. Mix remaining 1/3 cup water with cornstarch and add to cooked strawberries. Cook until thick, stirring constantly; cool. Add uncooked strawberries. Cool. Whip cream and add vanilla. Pile cream and baked pie shell. Top with strawberry mixture. Chill in refrigerator 3-4 hours.
