OATMEAL PIE CRUST | |
3/4 c. sifted flour (oat) 1/2 tsp. salt 1/3 c. shortening 1/2 c. oats 3 or 4 tbsp. cold water Mix flour and salt in bowl. Cut in shortening until crumbly. Add oats; mix well. Add water, mixing well. Shape into a ball. Press against sides and bottom of 8 inch pie plate. Bake at 425°F for 15 minutes or until brown. May fill with pie filling before baking and bake as directed for filling. Servings: 8 Nutrition (per serving): 153 calories, 90 calories from fat, 10.1g total fat, 4.8mg cholesterol, 147.3mg sodium, 76.6mg potassium, 12.6g carbohydrates, 1.6g fiber, less than 1g sugar, 3g protein. |
