TUNA NOODLE CASSEROLE | |
1 (7 oz.) pkg. elbow macaroni or noodles 2 (7 oz.) cans tuna 1 c. mayonnaise 1 c. chopped celery 1 onion, chopped 1 can cream of celery, mushroom or cheese soup 1/2 c. milk 1 c. shredded process cheese Cook noodles in rapidly boiling salted water until tender following package directions. Drain. Combine noodles, tuna, mayonnaise, celery, onion and 1/2 tsp. salt. Blend together soup and milk and heat through, over a low heat. Add cheese, heat and stir until cheese melts. Add to the noodle mixture. Turn into ungreased casserole. Sprinkle with 2 tablespoons bread crumbs. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Serves 6 to 8. |
