FRUITCAKE COOKIES 
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. butter, soft
1/4 c. butter, soft
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 1/4 c. plain flour
1 c. mixed candied fruit
1 c. pecans, chopped

Combine first 8 ingredients in large mixer bowl; mix on low speed for one minute. Gradually add flour and mix for 1 minute. Stir in fruit and nuts by hand. Drop by teaspoon on lightly greased cookie sheet and bake 12 to 14 minutes at 350 degrees. Makes about 6 dozen cookies. Caution: Don't over bake. Cookies should be lightly brown.
