CHERRY COCONUT BARS 
1 c. flour
1/2 c. butter
3 tbsp. powdered sugar
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 c. granulated sugar
1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. coconut
1/2 c. quartered maraschino cherries

Heat oven to 350 degrees. With hands, mix 1 cup flour, butter and powdered sugar until smooth. Spread into ungreased 8 by 8 pan. Bake about 15 to 20 minutes.

Stir rest of ingredients into eggs. Spread over top of baked pastry crust (no need to cool). Bake 25 additional minutes.
