COMPANY CASSEROLE 
4 to 6 oz. noodles or macaroni
2 lbs. ground beef
2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
1 c. cottage cheese
1/4 c. sour cream
1/3 c. chopped green onions
1 tbsp. chopped green pepper
2 tbsp. melted butter
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese

Boil noodles or macaroni (I use shells) in salted water around 10 minutes; drain. Brown meat in 1 tablespoon butter. Stir in tomato sauce and remove from heat. Combine cheeses, sour cream, onions, and peppers in a separate bowl. Butter casserole and layer the noodles, cheese mixture, and more noodles. Pour melted butter over this and pat the mixture on the top. Bake for 20 to 30 minutes at 350 degrees. This can be made ahead of time and then cooked later. Serves 8.
