HOLIDAY PRUNE CAKE 
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 c. vegetable oil
1 c. buttermilk
1 c. prune pie filling
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. each of cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and allspice
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. nuts, chopped

Mix sugar, eggs, vegetable oil, buttermilk and prune pie filling. Add flour, soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, allspice and vanilla. Fold in 2 cups chopped nuts. Bake at 350 degrees in greased and floured tube pan 40 to 50 minutes. Pour sauce over cake while still hot.

SAUCE:

1/4 c. sugar
1/4 stick butter
1 tbsp. water
2 tbsp. buttermilk
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine in saucepan and boil 5 minutes.
