CARAMEL PEARS 
6 pears
3/4 c. sugar
2 tbsp. butter
1 c. heavy cream

Preheat oven to 475 degrees. Peel, quarter and core pears; arrange in 1 layers in buttered cake pan. Sprinkle with sugar; dot with butter. Bake for 15 minutes, basting once. Pour cream over pears. Bake for 2 minutes longer. Serve hot. Yield: 6 servings.
