PEANUT BUTTER LOAF | |
1 pkg. yeast dissolved in 1/4 c. lukewarm water 1/2 c. milk 1/4 c. brown sugar 1 tsp. salt 2 c. sifted flour 1/4 c. crunchy peanut butter 1 egg Scald milk. Add brown sugar and salt. Cool to lukewarm. Add 1 cup flour and peanut butter and beat until smooth. Add beaten egg and yeast mixture and flour to make stiff batter. Beat well. Cover; let rise in warm place until bubbly, about 1 hour. Stir down. Place in greased loaf pan. Let rise again about 45 minutes. Bake at 350 degrees until brown, about 30-45 minutes. |
