AUTUMN ANGEL 
3 egg whites
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. sugar
2 c. uncrushed corn flakes
1 tsp. vanilla

Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form and add baking powder while beating. Add sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time and vanilla. Fold in corn flakes. Pour into an oblong baking dish and push meringue up against sides of dish to form a crust, leaving a hollow center. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 30 minutes. When cool, fill crust with whipped cream and sweetened fruit (peaches, strawberries, etc.). Sprinkle with coconut and chill thoroughly. This recipe has been time-tested for 35 years by family and proved to be a wonderful summer dessert.
