GREEN TOMATO RELISH | |
1 peck (or 12 1/2 pounds) green tomatoes 4 green sweet peppers 16 medium onions 6 cups sugar 1 quart vinegar 2 small jars mustard 2 tsp turmeric 6 tbsp. cornstarch Grind first 3 ingredients, sprinkle with salt and let stand 2 hours in a colander to drain. Add next 5 ingredients. Cook 30-40 minutes over medium heat. Stir to keep from sticking. Put in hot jars and seal. |
