CREAMED SPINACH | |
This has always been a very popular dish at Restaurant Chez Bob, Park Straat, The Hague, The Netherlands. It has been Bob's favorite dish and he is known to visit each table to serve it himself to patrons who were not sure they wanted a spinach dish. (Bob was pleased to learn that this recipe would be brought back to the USA). 10 to 12 servings. 6 eggs 2 lb. sm. curd cottage cheese 1 lb. Cheddar cheese, grated 1/4 lb. butter, melted 2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen spinach, defrosted and drained 2 tbsp. flour 1/4 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1. Beat eggs in large bowl. 2. Add cottage cheese, grated Cheddar, butter, spinach, flour, salt and pepper. 3. Pour into 2 quart buttered casserole. 4. Bake 1 hour uncovered at 350 degrees. |
